| Because
woodworkers need both good tools and the know-how
to use them effectively, Shopsmith maintains a renowned
woodworking school in our home town of Dayton, Ohio. For
almost three decades, we have provided hands-on training to
men and women here at the Academy, helping them to work wood safely and
successfully. Now we bring that same quality
instruction directly to your home workshop via the Internet.
Hands Online! is web instruction with a personal twist. |

Classes & Seminars |
|
We haven't forsaken
our real Academy for the virtual one. In fact, we've made
it better. Once a year in July, we hold live classes and
seminars at the Academy in Dayton, Ohio. In these
six-day classes you
immerse yourself in woodworking, get hands-on experience with
Shopsmith tools, and build an heirloom project. One of the
weekends between the classes is designated as an Owner's Weekend
-- three days of non-stop seminars, demonstrations, tool swaps,
and shoptalk. |
